- Click on START and click on My Network Places.
- Click Add a network place under Network Tasks which will open the Network Wizard.
- Click Next then Next again.
- Enter ftp://extremedd.serveftp.com and click Next.
- Make sure Log in anonymously is NOT selected then click Next.
- If you wish, give a name for the network place then click Next.
- Finally, click Finish.
A window should then open asking you for a username and password. Call us on 01535 611316 for these details. After entering the username and password you can drag and drop your file onto the window as if you were copying files to another drive. We highly recommend you create a single ZIP file to avoid any transfer errors and label your file with either your company name or job number for reference.
In order to upload files to our FTP via a Mac, you will need to use dedicated FTP software such as Fetch, Transmit or Cyberduck. The first two are Shareware which means you can download and use them free for a certain period but Cyberduck is Freeware which is totally free of charge to use. Instructions for all of these applications can be found under the Help menu within the application but are all straightforward to use. To log on to our FTP you will need to enter extremedd.serveftp.com in the Hostname section and also enter a username and password. Call us on the above number for these details.
If you have a PC on your network you can of course copy your file to your PC and upload it using the instructions on the right but you MUST create a ZIP file first by CTRL clicking on the file/folder and selecting Create Archive of "filename".
We highly recommend you label your file with either your company name or job number for reference before uploading.
